One of the biggest producers of PVC pipes and fittings in South India now, HYCOUNT had its origins more than three decades ago, at Kollam in Kerala. Foraying into the manufacture of PVC Pipes, and using it instead of GI pipes for water supply, Prof.MKA Hameed, a visionary industrialist, redrafted the quality needs in the segment. Prof. Hameed channelized all the knowledge and expertise gained as the first Vice-Chairman of Kerala Planning Board, the Principal of TKM Engineering Collage and a Member of Legislative Assembly, for building a brand that gained the unflinching trust of people.

Today HYCOUNT is a prominent player in the production and distribution of Water storage Tanks, Rainwater Harvesters, PVC Pipes & Fittings, Suction and Delivery Hoses and Waste Water drainage systems. The Annual production capacity of HYCOUNT stands at 26000 Metric Tonnes of PVC Pipes, 4000 Metric Tonnes of Hoses,2700 Metric Tonnes of PVC Fittings and 1000 Lakh litres for Water Storage Tanks. Pipes and Hoses are manufactured at units located in Kochi, Kollam & Kannur while tanks are manufactured at the Kochi and Fittings at Palakkad.

The HYCOUNT network is now growing by the day and has more than 4000 dealers in Kerala- in every main towns and cities. The HYCOUNT quality is spreading to other states as well with presence in Nagercoil and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and Mangalore in Karnataka. Along with growing reputation, HYCOUNT is now widely used not only at homes but also in Government and Private sector projects as well as farming related activities. Over the years HYCOUNT has won many awards and certifications for quality, the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award in three consecutive years, being the most prominent one.
