Launched on 25th December 2021. This is the world biggest telescope ever launched by mankind into outer space. It is an INFRARED type telescope, not a visual type. It will be placed at an orbit around the earth at a gigantic distance of 1 million miles, and will observe things from there and relay back to earth!
This telescope increases its size.
The 2021 Nobel Prize for PHYSICS was awarded to 3 great scientists on a shared basis for their truly outstanding contributions to humankind understanding:
1. Syukuro Manabe
2. Klaus Hasselmann
3. Giorgio Parisi
The topics for which they were awarded was divided as follows:
Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselman for: physical modelling of Earth climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming
Giorgio Parisi for: discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales
